China bans BBC for showing sexual abuse of Uighurs

China's broadcasting regulator banned BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) World News. The women said that they had been systematically raped, sexually abused and tortured in China's "re-education" camps in Xinjiang. TIT-FOR-TAT? The decision came just days after Britain's own regulator, Ofcom, revoked the license of Chinese broadcaster CGTN (China Global Television Network). It was done for breaking UK law on state-backed ownership, and provoked angry accusations of censorship from London.  The regulator cited links to China's ruling Communist Party among the reasons.  CGTN was also found in breach of British broadcasting regulations last year, for airing the allegedly forced confession of UK citizen Peter Humphrey.
